Terms & Conditions
Please read these carefully before applying or onboarding.
1. About FleetGuard
FleetGuard is a product of Ignitech Global Services Limited, a company registered in Nigeria ("FleetGuard", "we"). FleetGuard runs a managed hire-purchase programme for keke (tricycle), motorcycle and car riders, and places vetted drivers on vehicles it manages for their owners. FleetGuard verifies riders, hands over vehicles, collects payments and manages the vehicles.
2. Application fee
Each application attracts a non-refundable processing fee of ₦1,500. The fee covers document processing and identity checks. Paying the fee does not guarantee that you will be offered a vehicle.
3. Accuracy of information
You confirm that every detail and document you submit is true, current and belongs to you or your guarantors. Submitting forged or borrowed documents will lead to permanent removal from FleetGuard and may be reported to the relevant authorities.
4. Identity and document checks
You authorise FleetGuard to verify your National Identification Number (NIN), address and supporting documents with appropriate verification partners, and to contact your guarantors to confirm their consent.
5. Your hire-purchase agreement is with FleetGuard
If you're offered a vehicle, you sign an agreement with FleetGuard, which manages the vehicle for its owner: a hire-purchase agreement, or a driver agreement where FleetGuard pays you a wage. You pay every deposit, instalment or day's takings only into the FleetGuard payment account shown in the app. The vehicle's owner will not contact you for payments. Never pay money to anyone claiming to act for FleetGuard outside the app.
6. Tracker and remote engine cut-off
Every FleetGuard vehicle carries a GPS tracker fitted by FleetGuard, which can stop the engine remotely. FleetGuard uses the location to protect the vehicle and plan maintenance. The engine is only ever stopped as a last resort after missed payments and warnings, and never while the vehicle is moving.
7. Guarantors
You confirm that your guarantors have agreed to be listed, have allowed you to share their details and ID, and understand they may be contacted by FleetGuard. Each change to a guarantor after you apply costs ₦1,000, and FleetGuard will contact the new guarantor.
8. Accidents, theft and insurance
Every FleetGuard vehicle is insured before it's handed over. If you have an accident, or the vehicle is stolen or catches fire, report it to FleetGuard in the app or by phone, and to the police, within 24 hours. If the accident was your fault, you pay the insurance excess. If the insurer refuses to pay because you broke the agreement (for example riding drunk, without a licence, or letting someone else ride), you pay for the damage. Your agreement sets out the details.
9. Messages
You agree to receive SMS, WhatsApp or email messages about your application, payments and vehicle on the channels you choose.
10. Data protection
FleetGuard processes your personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023. The owner of your vehicle sees your name, photo and area, your payment status and where the vehicle is, never your documents or contact details. You never see the owner's details either. You may ask for your application to be withdrawn and your data deleted at any time.
